The functions of ALBUM are managed by a system program, which is called FIRMWARE.
It is possible to upgrade this FIRMWARE. The current version of the FIRMWARE
on your ALBUM is found at the head of the ADVANCED SETTINGS menu
screen (FW 1.1, for example).
To upgrade your FIRMWARE to the latest available version,
please follow these simple instructions:
- Save the latest firmware to your computer.
- Make sure ALBUM is powered from the supplied wall adaptor.
- Connect ALBUM to your PC using the supplied USB cable.
- Turn ALBUM on.
- Save/Drag the firmware upgrade file to ALBUM outside any folder you might have created.
- Disconnect ALBUM from PC.
- Turn ALBUM off & on again.
- Firmware upgrade begins - process status is shown on ALBUM display.
- When asked "REBOOT NOW" turn ALBUM off & on again.
- Firmware is now upgraded.
WARNING:
• never turn ALBUM off during the FW upgrade
• although the update preserves all photographs stored in ALBUM,
it is recommended to create a back-up
